“Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature.” - Gerard De Nerval

A little about our flowers…

Local.

Fresh flowers have served as a symbol of cheer across the globe and across different cultures for centuries. At Creeksouth Farms, we believe flowers are even more special if you know where they come from. Fresh cut flowers are more accessible than ever at local farmers markets, supermarkets and retail florists shops. There is no denying the U.S floral industry is blooming, but mostly with flowers grown outside the country. About 78% of all cut flowers sold in the U.S. are imported, primarily from Latin America.

Where your flowers were grown and how far they travel impacts their freshness, scent, vase life, as well as their carbon footprint. Commercial, conventionally grown flowers are typically bred for travel and have lost many of their romantic qualities. When you buy flowers from Creeksouth Farms, you know the story behind those flowers. Our flowers are grown out of love, using sustainable practices that help Mother Earth thrive and promote a healthy farm. When you buy from us, you’re also supporting your neighbor and your community.

Fresh.

Quality and freshness are very important to us, which is why our flowers are harvested and delivered to your vase within 24 hours. Every stem in your bouquet was hand-picked at its peak to ensure a long-lasting vase life. We take pride in handling your flowers with love and care.

Sustainable.

We believe in sustainable farming practices that help Mother Earth thrive. Organic farming is challenging and very labor-intensive, but the benefits for the farm and our customers make it all worth it. While we are NOT a USDA Certified Organic farm, we farm the way nature intended. By growing organically we can support a thriving and diverse ecosystem. It all starts with nutrient-rich soil. We feed our soil with compost and other organic material to encourage earthworms and microorganisms.

When it comes to pests, we work with nature, not against it. No matter how healthy our soil is, pests and diseases are a reality, so we focus our efforts on prevention. We work to encourage beneficial insects on the farm. Most insect pests have their own natural enemies, usually another insect. Finding nature’s balance is a science. When all our preventative measures fail, we use non-synthetic organic-approved sprays.
